This past week on my Android customization series over at Android Authority, I took a quick look at a way to dynamically change the color of a battery element in a Zooper Widget.
The idea is simple, if your battery level is below a certain threshold, the icon or text turns red, if you have your device plugged in, it is all green and the rest of the time your icon and text is simply white.
Zooper Widget is great for this sort of advanced operation, and we didn't even need to tie into Tasker to get the job done. The only downside is that Zooper Widget's Advanced Parameters can be a little much to swallow the first time you dive in. That is why I not only go through the steps and the thought process, but simply give you the string that will make it all work for you.

Android apps on Chrome OS, is it worth it?
I have been thinking about this for a couple days. I suspect I'll get some backlash for saying this, but I am not sure we need Android apps on Chrome OS.
Now hold on, before you start throwing things at me, please hear me out.

Zooper Widgets - Advanced Parameters, this is where the magic is
I know I've been pushing Zooper Widget a lot lately, this is because it is such a powerful design tool for the Homescreens of your Android devices. Zooper Widget becomes significantly more powerful when used as a front end for Tasker functionality, to control almost any aspect of your device.
Over on Android Authority, I've put together a relatively brief walk through of using Zooper Widget Advanced Parameters, I urge you to check it out. Don't get me wrong, I am not just trying to get you to read my stuff, the principles and core functionality that I present over there are absolutely core to getting the most out of Zooper Widget.

Zooper Widget and Tasker, what a team. Learn how to pull system info from Tasker to display on Zooper Widget
Hey look, another great addition to my Android customization series over on Android Authority. It is just a rough example of integration between Zooper Widget and Tasker, showing how to collect system info in Tasker and display it on a Zooper Widget.
The series has been working on a custom built control panel for your Android Homescreen for a couple weeks now, and will extend into next week to finish it all off. The combined ideas, tools and instruction will empower you to move on to the next level of Zooper Widget design and functional implementation.

Armed with the power to design any Zooper Widget you want, it is time to add some functionality to your pretty widgets.
As I've said before, Tasker and Zooper Widget are able to play friendly, and this is an app combination that can take your Android device to the next level.

Zooper Widget - Your design guide and how to build a custom widget from scratch
You must know by now that I am a huge fan and user of Zooper Widget for the design and function of my Android devices. There is little that Zooper cannot do design wise, and paired with Tasker to add functionality, I have no other widgets running on any of my devices. (Except the stock music player widget, but I'm working on creating my own there too.)
I promise you that a great article on how to integrate Tasker and Zooper Widget is on its way, for today, I want to introduce you to my most comprehensive Zooper Widget guide yet.
